R. Daniel Foster is a widely published writer and visual artist who has served as director, shooter and editor for a variety of domestic and international productions.
His work has been featured by PBS and Los Angeles’ premier art institutions - the LA Opera, Hammer Museum, Center Theatre Group, LATC, Renberg Theatre and Cornerstone Theater. National outlets include the Kennedy Center, Walker Art Center and Delaware's Dupont Theatre, the oldest, continuously operating legitimate theatre in the country.
His short films and documentaries have received nominations and awards, including "Best Experimental Film" for his short Airborn, awarded by the International Festival of Cinema and Technology, and a "Best Documentary" nomination from the
Asian Festival of 1st Films in Singapore. Foster's specialty in world image has been commissioned by clients throughout Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
His essays and features have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Esquire, Details, the Advocate, the Harvard Business Review and on National Public Radio, among other outlets. He has taught writing at UCLA Extension and other universities.
